Don has been practicing psychotherapy for 25 years in the Winnipeg area.
He earned a Masters in Counselling and an Ed.D. (doctorate) in Counselling Psychology. He is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Ontario Psychotherapists (R#006757); a Certified Counsellor and Supervisor with the Professional Association of Canadian Christian Counsellors and Psychotherapists, and is a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

Don has specific training in treating early (preverbal) trauma, certified in clinical counselling hypnotherapy, the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy, and Trauma Informed Relationships. Don has training in neurofeeback and biofeedback techniques. Don is also well versed in Ego States Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique as well as applying advances in interpersonal neuroscience. Don is very excited about currently receiving training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. This is a body-oriented therapy that addresses trauma and developmental injuries. This cutting edge approach integrates the modern understanding that trauma is primarily a nervous system i.e. body issue.
